The Uranium Processing Facility achieved a major milestone with a recent delivery of the last piece of processing equipment. This furnace, one of 17, is a vital piece of the UPF procurement efforts that include over 400 suppliers in 42 states. This milestone moves UPF another step closer to completion and accelerates the transition of key uranium processing capabilities out of a legacy facility at Y-12.

Our #Y12Interns continue to make their way across the site. This small group is pictured at the nation’s Uranium Processing Facility. They were able to see all that goes into #BuildingUPF and learn about UPF’s capabilities that will enhance the site’s national security missions.
