Group 8 believes the best way to learn is through play! They are working on a #smartcity game for all ages. The game is intended to increase interest and awareness on the benefits of smart city development. #BusITWeek #GameDev #SustainableSolutions
Group 2 is working on a fully modular smart streetlight to increase #energyefficiency in #smartcities. It will use an LED bulb & movement sensors to only activate when needed. It will also feature a WIFI access point & intercom linked directly to emergency services #BusITWeek
We have entered the prototyping phase - an extremely important phase of the design process. Our participating students are working on wireframes and sketches to test the viability of their solutions.

Group 5 is working on a transportable smart container which will #savewater, energy, space and time! The container features solar panels which can be used to generate electricity and a water filter which can be used to recycle water. #BusITWeek #SustainableSolutions #SolarPower
Group 9 is working on a #SmartPlumbingSolution that will #savewater & #generateelectricity. The cyclical system will use a thermostatic shower valve, recycle water from the shower for toilet flushing & pass treated toilet water through turbines to generate electricity. #BusITWeek

Group 8: Infinity Launch Party
Features a pseudo train trip from Belgium to South Africa. This group plans to launch a #transportation #app that will allow commuters to pay for and book seats using a #QRcode.

This team's launch party features recyclable and edible plates, a speach by #ElonMusk and a mix of Belgian and South African cuisine.
