It's #ButtonOfTheMonth time! This beardy fellow appears on 5 buttons on the database, all from the Isle of Wight. He's a Capuchin friar and is part of the coat of arms of the Barrington family who were associated with Swainston Manor on the island. #Buttons #IsleofWight

Hold your horses, it's also #ButtonOfTheMonth time!! This month, in honour of our recent session with the #Waterloo Uncovered team, a Napoleonic era button of the Wherwell Loyal Volunteers - a local militia group in Hampshire. It dates to 1794-1811. #Buttons #ButtonsAreCool

It's #ButtonOfTheMonth time! This example dates to AD1784-1800 & has the badge of the 44th Regiment of Foot on it. The Regiment was raised by Colonel James Long in 1741 & first saw active service during the Jacobite rising,1745. 1/2

I bit late, but here is April's #ButtonOfTheMonth (yes we're still doing that). Blink and you'll miss this one! It's a tiny but beautiful little acorn fashioned from silver. Probably 16th century in date and could be one of the smallest Treasure cases. @TRegistrars ? #Buttons
