We are back at the Nowell Mount Community Centre for our #CATCHonWheels programme. Another busy session with @PINGPONGFORU. We are so proud of this community & youth space created through collaboration & supported by @wy_vru. The centre is a much-needed resource in this area.
This evening our team were at the Nowell Mount Community Centre building desks & setting up new desktop computers with young people. These will be used for youth clubs & also used during the day by adults for learning & employment support. #YouthCommunityBuilders #CATCHonWheels

Our #CATCHonWheels at the Nowells project is back again! After all the covid disruption we are so pleased to have delivered our first youth session tonight in the new hall space which was built last year but was left unused due to covid restrictions. Lots of scope to do more now!
More great work up at the Nowells building benches & filling the raised beds with soil. The project officially finished end of March but our team of volunteers are continuing to support young people from this area to develop this new space. #YouthCommunityBuilders #CATCHonWheels
Finally we have got access to the Nowells site to do some outdoor work with young people. Building raised vegetable beds whilst teaching practical construction skills. Our focus is to get the external area looking good to compliment the new building extension. #CATCHonWheels

#CATCHonWheels has a new meaning recently. No longer is it just about providing youth activities, its about collecting donated/intercepted food 🍞🥖🥕🍎from supermarkets & then distributing to families who need it the most. Occasionally we get to give out flowers 💐too. #TeamWork

This week we have confirmed the first two volunteers at our #CATCHonWheels Nowells project. Siobhan & Harley, both have successfully completed their trial period & will now join our Volunteer Development Programme #SuperStars 🌟 to provide them with skills, knowledge & training.
More young volunteers joining our #CATCHonWheels project in the Nowells, helping to setup, assist with activities and pack away at the end. Our CATCH Team supporting them by mentoring & coaching. Local initiatives work better with local people. #YouthCommunityBuilders
