Day 3 without an answer from @AskPlayStation and @PlayStation on the direct question why a plug&play functionality was locked behind an online activation. Will they deny any issues here just like with the #CBOMB and silently put out fixes for a problem they claimed didn't exist? Still waiting for that PS3 fix, btw.

@AskPlayStation Why the unnecessary online authentication, though?

To the unusually high percentage of my followers who are liberal users of the word cunt, may I wish you a cunty New Year, and further success in calling out cuntery wherever it exists (especially cunting Tories). May your cuntitude expose cuntishness everywhere. 🎉🎊😁 #CBomb

@AskPlayStation That’s great! But you guys need to fix the #cbomb issue with the ps3. Since most ps3 content is trapped on that system you need to do the right thing for your customers and give us a firmware update to fix this glaring issue.

The #CBomb remains on the PlayStation 3, but was fixed for later console generations, despite still receiving active system updates. Sony has no excuse for this. #PlayStation #Preservation

List of @PlayStation preservation issues: - #CBomb on PS3 - Soldered SSD in PS5 - Internet requirement for disc drive on PS5 - BC issues for numerous titles, incl. 1st party - lack of polish in basically all 1st party releases at launch Sony: #TLOU2Remastered. Priorities, m8?

@DoesItPlay1 @PlayStation As someone who is heavily invested in ps3 (335 unique physical titles + over 100 digital titles) the fact Sony won’t just fix this issue with a simple patch is beyond frustrating.

@BumbleBuck Sony indeed created a major issue for preservation with the PS3. And we called them out for the store closures as well. Sony is more than just PlayStation, though. And they also partially reacted to the #cbomb issue and fixed it.

@brewpounder As long as the hardware is still functional when you open it, you should be fine. Make sure to find a game that has at least firmware 9.00 on it. That's about the time the #cbomb got fixed as well.

@Genki_JPN @ModernVintageG @dark1x @OrdinaryGamers @SpawnWaveMedia @RishiAlwani We've already been there in the past. Especially during our #CBOMB campaign. But the recent changes on this platform have messed up organic reach a bit. Plus, we've been locked out of the account for a month. Add vacation season to that, we lack a bit of data atm.
