This is so true. As the Language Arts teacher, I try and find novels that represent my students. Novels they can relate too; and we’ve found as a school community that this can change the way a child views reading! #CCATalks #RaidersTalk

I often have to step back and remember my WHY for teaching. I have to make sure that I remember the systems put in place that created the stereotypes and biases that I unintentionally may have teaching my SOC (scholar of color)
