Snow ploughs and gritters are out now in east Cornwall with more gritting due to take place at 9pm and 3am. The sleet and snow has cleared west Cornwall and is moving slowly eastwards and is due to clear Cornwall by 8pm. #ccsnow 1/2

Driving to work tomorrow morning? Please drive carefully as despite @CORMACltd gritting both tonight and tomorrow morning it could still be challenging due to low temperatures and icy conditions #ccsnow

Snow has already started falling in the east of the county and is making its way west right now. In the next few hours expect to see some if you haven’t already as it will continue falling until early evening. Please stay in if you can #ccsnow

Staff are working hard to attend to any repair emergencies across the county. However, please bear in mind that following local travel advice because of the bad weather we do have a reduced service. We expect service to return to normal Monday 5 March. #CCSnow #Cornwallwinter

Our gritters will be doing their best to keep main roads open, but remember gritting doesn't guarantee an ice or snow-free surface. Please listen to warnings and do not travel unless it is urgent. View gritting info here https://t.co/sj9p0QtzKL. #CornwallWinter #ccsnow

By the time the drivers get back in they will have used approximately 800 tonnes of salt today. That’s almost a tonne of salt for every mile of road treated. #CornwallWinter #ccsnow
