We have had a very interesting #CHUSSSeminarseries session on the Church and it's struggle to be indigenized in Uganda looking at the 100 years between 1913 and 2012.
Mr. Deo Kannamwangi took us through a thoroughly researched history of Catholicism in Ug.

Dance was not originally accepted by the Catholic Church but Missionaries were overwhelmed by the ways of life of Africans. Africans celebrated everything through dancing. The church was forced to take up acts that were purely indigenous. ~ Deo Kannamwangi #CHUSSSeminarseries
