The barbarism of the Turkish army continues as they chop down ancient trees in triumph across occupied areas of South Kurdistan. Where is the outrage from international green activists? Not a single statement has been made.

Of course @FoodProfessor knows that the super mega El Nino event underway creates wind shear that reduces the ability of Atlantic hurricanes to form. But he does not want you to know that. #grifter #climatechaos
The Atlantic is having its quietest hurricane season in at least 60 years, with no hurricanes by mid-September.
Strangely, the climate activists and headline writers who amplify every active season have little to say. One quiet season does not disprove climate change, just as one severe storm does not prove it.
Weather deserves context, not activism.

The planet is burning — when it should be the fiscal rules.
#ClimateChaos
It is entirely within the grasp of humanity to stop global catastrophe driven by climate and ecological crisis.
All we need to do, is to:
1) Rapidly phase out fossil fuel burning.
2) Move away from mass livestock farming and other unsustainable agricultural practise.
3) Stop systematically destroying natural habitat and biodiversity.
4) Move away from artificially enforced competitiveness, as humans are an innately cooperative species, and have to be coerced to be competitive, and work towards the common good, as you'd expect in a planetary emergency.
This isn't really any sort of secret and was well known at the time of the 1972 UN Environment Conference, and certainly by the time of the 1992 Rio Earth Summit.
Absolutely the only reason we haven't changed business as usual, is the richest and most powerful people on earth, are making massive amounts of money from business as usual.
The usual excuse is this is impossible as civilized society depends on the burning of fossil fuels. Let me put this into perspective. Yet less than 18% of the global population own a car, and over 80% have never flown at all, or hardly ever. So clearly over 80% of the global population don't find these activities necessary. Finally, the top 1% have higher emissions, than the bottom 66%, which really explains why we're carrying on with business as usual, on a suicidal path. The top 1% need to keep on burning fossil fuels to fuel their extravagant lifestyles, that 99% of the population don't have.
So when the oligarch owned media, tell us we need to keep burning fossil fuels to maintain civilization. What they actually mean, is that they and the owners of the media they work for, need to maintain their wealth and luxury lifestyles. If most of you end up starving to death, so be it. Because they have the moral consciences of psychopaths.

🚨 BRITAIN FACES FOOD SHORTAGES WITHIN MONTHS
Farmers have been warning about this for years. Now more than a dozen farming organisations say British agriculture has reached 🔥 crisis point 🔥
This isn’t simply about a poor harvest.
Farmers are warning they may not have enough money to plant next year’s crops or replace livestock.
Think about what that means.
🌾 The worst harvest since records began in 1984.
🥔 Potatoes and carrots expected to be smaller than usual.
🐑 500+ bluetongue cases.
🚜 Agricultural input costs soaring.
💰 Farm cashflow collapsing.
🌍 Fertiliser supply and prices exposed to the war in Iran and Strait of Hormuz.
And livestock farmers are already using winter fodder in August. Some are being forced to sell animals they cannot afford to feed.
Those rising cattle kill numbers aren’t evidence of abundant food. They may be evidence of Britain’s productive capacity being liquidated.
Kill the breeding herd and you don’t replace it next spring.
Fail to plant the wheat this autumn and you don’t harvest it next summer.
Lose farmers and productive capacity and cheap imports may disguise the problem … until the imports aren’t cheap or aren’t available.
This is why I keep saying food security is national security.
🆘 Britain needs an emergency COBRA-level food-production plan now, not after shortages appear on supermarket shelves @andyburnham @labourlewis
🇬🇧 You cannot import your way out of a global food crisis.

This is Croatia right now…
Everyone needs to know what is happening in our world right now: Our planet has been experiencing the most extreme heat event in world history. This is the coldest summer of the rest of your life.
July was the hottest month in the United States since we records began in 1895—Washington, USA burned to the ground.
June was the hottest month in Europe, exceeded 40 degrees Celsius, shattering all heat records—caused over 25,000 deaths across the continent.
Venezuela, Columbia, Indonesia, and Malaysia earthquakes crashing. The planet has recorded exactly 10 major earthquakes of magnitude 7.0 or higher—Earthquakes are not caused by CO2, but climate change can modulate them by secondary effects.
Rivers in China and Europe are drying up, reaching historically low levels—Just for perspective, the drying of these rivers will impact shipping routes, leading to a skyrocketing in the prices of food, fuel, and energy.
El Niño has begun, driving ocean temperatures to record-breaking highs—Nearly three decades ago, a catastrophic El Niño claimed 23,000 lives and inflicted billions of dollars in global economic damage.
Canada burned to the ground, and Greenland's ice sheet is collapsing—slowing down the overturning of heat in the North Atlantic, pushing the whole monsoon system down further south, causing droughts and forest fires over the Amazon rainforest.
The severity of this heatwave is truly hard to comprehend. What's going on there is a foreshadowing of our future.
Scientists confirmed that heatwaves driven by climate change. Climate change is not a "hoax." It’s real and it’s happening.
If you are not a scientist, and you disagree with scientists about science, it’s actually not a disagreement. You're just wrong. Science is not truth. Science is finding the truth. When science changes its opinion, it didn't lie to you. It learned more.
This is no longer just a climate crisis. Climate chaos is inevitable. This is a humanitarian crisis. Just because you do not take an interest in climate change, doesn't mean climate change won't take an interest in you.
We should start naming heatwaves after fossil fuel and oil companies, and wildfires after arms and defense industries. And Could reporters stop asking if leaders believe in climate change and start asking if they understand it instead.
The world must remember that we live in a society, not an economy.

The UK has now set an all time record on how many wildfires we’ve seen this year.
