Durchbruch: Der staatliche chinesische Atomkonzern CNNC meldete am 15. Juni 2026 die Massenproduktion von Silizium 28 mit einer Reinheit von über 99,99 Prozent. Das Material gilt als entscheidender Rohstoff für siliziumbasierte Quantencomputer und war bislang nur über wenige internationale Lieferketten verfügbar.
Wettbewerb: China will damit einen wichtigen Engpass beseitigen und seine technologische Unabhängigkeit stärken. Laut CNNC ermöglicht Silizium 28 stabilere Qubits für Quantencomputer. Die Ankündigung erfolgt in einer Phase zunehmender Technologiekonflikte zwischen China und den USA.
Der technologische Abstand zwischen den führenden Wirtschaftsräumen wird künftig immer stärker von der Kontrolle strategischer Schlüsseltechnologien abhängen.

#CNNC controls enrichment, conversion, and fabrication domestically. The West still routes ~40% of enrichment through Rosatom and ~25% through URENCO.
39 reactors means 39 new long term fuel offtake contracts China won't need to negotiate with anyone. The moat isn't the reactor. It's the supply chain behind it.

Nuclear power serves as the anchor of the clean energy family and a powerhouse in energy conservation and emission reduction. ⚛️⚛️
The cumulative electricity generation of #CNNC's nuclear power units has reached 1.95 trillion kilowatt-hours, equivalent to replacing approximately 590 million metric tons of standard coal consumption. This has reduced carbon dioxide emissions🏭🏭 by 1.55 billion metric tons, delivering ecological benefits comparable to planting 5.3 million hectares of forest for our planet.
#CNNC is also actively developing new energy industries, with cumulative power generation exceeding 246 billion kilowatt-hours. This equates to saving 74.19 million metric tons of coal and cutting carbon dioxide emissions by 183 million metric tons.
Recently, the permanent electrode design of the @iterorg Glow Discharge Cleaning (GDC), independently developed by the Southwest Institute of Physics (SWIP) under #CNNC , successfully passed the preliminary design review (PDR) at the headquarters of the @iterorg organization.
