This month, we welcomed Dr. David Cordas dos Santos @DavidCdSMD @DFCI to our joint #NCI #ComputationalOncology #workinggroup, co-hosted by @IOTNmoonshot @RoswellPark & #CIMAC-#CIDC! #COWG Dr. Cordas dos Santos and his team conducted a large-scale #metaanalysis of 7,604 patients across 18 #clinicaltrials and 28 #realworld studies. Their study provided the first #quantitative evidence reporting that overall nonrelapse mortality #NRM of CAR-T patients is about 6.8% at 13.4 months after infusion. Notably, #infections are the leading cause of NRM, surpassing CAR T-specific toxicities. This highlights the critical need for effective #management of infectious complications to improve patient outcomes in #CAR #T-cell therapy!
