[1b] Then Dima talked about another important thing — the #CSMmainnet Early Adoption list. Those who are in will have the opportunity to join CSM on the mainnet from day 1. You may wonder: “Not anyone can”?
Tl;dr: no. Once released on the mainnet, CSM would not be fully permissionless. It would only be available for early adopters to join to make sure that professional operators would not occupy the whole module, thus providing community stakers with the ability to join CSM without unnecessary competition and spin up to 10 validators during this period.
Also, early adopters will have access to the unique bond curve with a discount for the very first validators to lower the barrier to joining the Lido CSM set.
On #CSMMAINNET, you will only need 1.5 ETH if you are an Early Adopter. $3.5K with the current rate 🤩
