#CSSP2 is an adaptive programme operating in a socially and politically evolving context for the Ethiopian CSO sector. It has so far supported 140 CSOs working in gender transformation, youth and citizen-state engagement.

The Civil Society Support Programme (#CSSP2) is a capacity development programme supporting Ethiopia’s civil society and its contribution to the government’s policies and strategies for national development, poverty reduction and advancement of good governance.
#CSSP2 is now advocating for the ratification of a Reintegration Directive by the Amhara Regional Government that would allow women prisoners, upon release, to get priority access to capital and working space from microfinance institutions and other governmental bodies.
‘I was imprisoned 5 years ago. Life is so tough in prison especially for women as we need so many things and we lack money. With the support #CSSP2 is providing, AHRRA, a local NGO, started an income generation programme for women prisoners and I voluntarily enrolled.
Hayat was almost deaf and all seemed lost until her mom brought her to Berhan le Hitsanat, a local CSO supported by #CSSP2. Hayat got the medical treatment and she is now fully cured. To learn more https://t.co/vZ7GCK9SOE
