I teach in a small rural school so having the support of this nationwide group to get ideas, resources and support from is extremely valuable. #CTLEduChat #AdvancementCourses

@support_a_teach @AdvanceTeaching I miss "teaching". Although I have given new material, I am not really teaching it at all. I make the lesson plans & paper packets, give links & suggestions and offer Google Meets for clarification. The rest is left up to the parents. To me, that isn't teaching. #CTLEduChat

As a music teacher it has been challenging for me to come up with authentic, engaging&meaningful music experiences that translate well to the online platform. It's a lot of work.
@support_a_teach @AdvanceTeaching A1: Before, I worked hard to build relationships, spark a love of learning, and promote curiosity in my classroom. Now, it's hard to do that with a kinder on the other side of the screen-especially with the population I serve. Yay!! #CTLEduChat

I have had little opportunity to communicate/work with students as the teachers on my team do not either. I miss the students, but I am lucky enough to be working there in the fall!

A1: My teaching is an anything goes, but still successful. Although I have been flexible & adaptable, PreK learning misses so much when it is not hands on and interactive. We still foster our relationships...but we are missing a big piece.

@support_a_teach @AdvanceTeaching My class was all about interaction and communication. Art is a social class where kids get to exchange ideas and collaborate. That aspect has been taken away. It is hard to collaborate now due to lack of internet for many of the kids #CTLEduChat #AdvancementCourses
