i make $18 an hour. if i work full time i make just over $1100 each pay cheque which equals about $2200 a month give or take. thats give or take $26,400 a year which is poverty wages. i make $18 an hour and i still make poverty level wages.

Our hospital floor is full and we need open beds for the imminent COVID surge. But multiple patients of mine can’t leave the hospital because they’re awaiting prior auths from commercial insurers. Insurance companies are clogging up the system in the middle of a damn pandemic.
