***FUNDRAISER CAMPAIGN***
@weardjupiter Louise Weard has launched a #Kickstarter campaign for #CastrationMovie Anthology III!
https://t.co/zDe4NBN0Ej
Help us finish the next part of our cinematic epic. The 275 minute long Castration Movie Anthology i. Traps was the underdog indie movie of 2025 and was followed by the equally well-received (and even longer) Anthology ii. The Best of Both Worlds. Together we can bring the next part of this story to life!
After being celebrated as the Best Underseen Gem of 2025 thanks to the Letterboxd community I hope you're ready for more Castration Movie in 2026. Help us to continue production on the next five hours of this humanist epic about Michaela "Traps" Sinclair and the people who make up her world.
The first two parts of Castration Movie have toured all over the world thanks to word of mouth from an impassioned audience who were hungry for a different kind of cinema. This unconventional work has seemingly redefined what is possible for indie filmmakers working on DIY shoestring budgets and relying on close collaboration among friends, while always maintaining a fiercely underground filmmaking spirit.
With our previous crowdfunding campaign we gained enough support to film another 9 hours of Castration Movie. With this campaign we want to complete Castration Movie Anthology iii. Year of the Hyaena and continue production on Anthology iv. and v.
And if you can't pitch in to help us finish this movie, then please share this project with someone you think will get something out of a movie like ours :3

Muscle is a new film distribution company with a heavy repertory slant from historian, programmer, and filmmaker Elizabeth Purchell. Borne out of an understanding of the role that accessibility plays in shaping cultural histories, Muscle is dedicated to complicating and expanding the canon by shining a light on works that either never received their proper due or that have unjustly faded into obscurity, and championing new works by some of today’s most exciting underground filmmakers. Muscle loves scrappy, misfit films that don’t fit into any particular box.

An opening oner that rivals the daubetchery levels of Takeshi Miike’s Dead Or Alive. The Party is also by far my favourite scene of the year. I dream of making a film THIS good. Will be championing this series and Weard’s filmography till the day I die. (2/2) #CastrationMovie
@weardjupiter Louise Weard is cemented as an important filmmaker in the world of underground movies. The greatest trans film and I can’t wait to see what comes next. Once the entire film is finished, it will be so influential for queer cinema. I love my film sisters! (3/3) #CastrationMovie
