Do you know why #Cattledogs are used for Search & Rescue not as K9 officers?
A cattle dog is fiercely devoted & protective of their owner/handler. In a dangerous situation they will not leave their persons side. They will die for them, absorbs painful blows, bullets, fire by covering their person with their body.
They nip in herding fashion but will not bite w/o immediate release.
Cattle dogs are too intelligent, will access a circumstance & make their best judgements. No human involved.
They do not possess the instinct to neutralize a threat.
They are truly the most steadfast breed.

Cattle dogs must have their mind & body engaged. They are not for the low IQ peeps.
Baloo allegedly "bit" but he did not cause harm.
So it was a warning that he did not like their behavior or treatment of someone or something.
His pawrents are divorcing. My guess is there was a lot of fighting in his home. He was protecting his human, who betrayed him

Alll herders can nip at ankles. You need a ball & the right ball. Soccer, volleyball, pilates or herder ball. They will mimic you, go out a push the ball around. If they herd you, do it back. You are the leader
