Keystone Setup Score
The Keystone Setup Score condenses five independent dimensions of market behavior โ trend structure, relative strength, entry positioning, momentum, and volume participation โ into a single 0โ100 reading. A high score means those forces agree; a low score means they conflict. The line is green at 50 and above, red below.
Recognizing a potential bull run
Strength usually appears in the score before it becomes obvious in price. Watch for a sustained climb out of the red and a decisive cross above 50 into green โ particularly when the score has been building through a quiet or sideways stretch in price. That pattern indicates the underlying conditions are aligning ahead of the move. Readings that hold in the 70+ range (grades B and A) while the line stays green reflect broad agreement across all five dimensions, the condition most associated with durable advances. The strongest confirmation is a score that keeps making higher lows alongside price.
Recognizing a potential end of a bull run
The most useful warning is divergence: price pushing to new highs while the score fails to follow, flattens, or steps down. That gap says the advance is being driven by fewer and fewer of the underlying forces โ the classic signature of a maturing trend. From there, a rollover from A/B grades into C and D territory shows deterioration in progress, and a cross below 50 into red marks the point at which the conditions that supported the run no longer hold. Sharp drops from high readings deserve more attention than slow drifts.
What makes it different
Most indicators measure one thing. An oscillator reads momentum; a moving average reads trend; a volume tool reads participation. Each can look convincing while the others quietly disagree โ which is why single-indicator signals fail so often, and why traders end up stacking six tools and interpreting them by feel.
Keystone resolves that in three ways. It requires confluence โ no single dimension can carry the score, so agreement is built into the number rather than assembled by the user. It separates quality from timing, distinguishing a strong instrument from a good moment to act on it, which is what keeps you from chasing an already-extended move. And because the output is normalized to a 0โ100 scale, readings are directly comparable across instruments โ you can rank a watchlist by setup quality, something raw indicator values don't allow.
The result is one number, one line, and a plain letter grade, in place of a screen of conflicting signals.
