15 years later, the 10,000+ signatories of #Charter08 have never given up, carried on the fight for democracy and human rights in China. The spirit of this manifesto for political change is arguably visible in new movements led by new generations of human rights defenders.

#LiuXiaobo died in prison in #China 6 years ago, on 7/13. He was serving a 11-year arbitrary imprisonment for his writings, poems, essays peacefully expressing political dissent, including #Charter08, a blue print for democratic and rule of law reform.
