#MR has been reigning #Uccle #RSG #Waterloo for decades. It has refused metro, blocked bus and bike lanes and has no circulation plan.
#MR never cared about anything else than cars on #ChdeWaterloo and sees a park only as highway.

In Belgium it often happens that streets that would require separated cycling infrastructure do not get it because local politicians deem car 🚗 driving and parking more important than safety for (young) cyclists.

However, during the lockdown the #ChdeWaterloo was completely empty. If people that live in that area would need the street for parking, it would have been full of cars. Consequently, precious space for bus/cycling infrastructure is now wasted👇🏼

That is why, in the past, a separate bus/cycling lane has been proposed on the #ChdeWaterloo. In order to enable this, car parking spots and car lanes should be removed. However MR in Uccle and StGenesiusRode have blocked this. In fact, they block any alternative.
Maybe, just maybe, someone more qualified than police officers should look into these ‘statistics’ before jumping to conclusions @lecho. Your article was published on the same day that news came out that #COVID19BE is pushing people into cars. Hence, more cars on #ChdeWaterloo?

The weird thing is that this could have been easily avoided. Now, three (!) car lanes are suddenly given to 🚗 in a northern direction. Totally unnecessary, since all roads heading towards de #AvDiane, incl. #ChdeWaterloo #AvDeFre have only one driving lane in each direction. 7/
