Incredibly impressive start from the Vetch!
Another excellent #CheckYourNods result. The rhizobia strain specific to soybeans is the Group H rhizobium. Effective nodulation also maximizes the residual nitrogen carryover for the following crop (approx. 40β60 kg N/ha in a harvested soybean crop).β»

The Group F rhizobia are regarded as βaggressiveβ nodulators. #Nodules on the main taproot clustered near the seed are an indication nodulation occurred because of the inoculation process. These are referred to as βcrown nodules β
#CheckYourNods π #Nodules should form around the crown of the plant (where root meets shoot) if inoculant was used on seed. Lupin crops that were not inoculated, tend to have nodules spread across the root system on crown, taproots and laterals (if RHZ is present in the soil).
Love how lupins show that blood red colour when you ring bark them. Plant on left hand side darkest green, reddest stem and nice pink nodules, the others pale in colour with white insides of nodules indicating poor health. Bit of moly with the grass spray to give pick me up

First time Faba bean grower pumping some N into the system with these healthy root systems. Dry sown with a double rate of peat slurry into paddocks with a vetch / lentil background.
