There are times when it is appropriate for pupils to explore, find out & discover through child-led learning but at other times teachers shouldn't be afraid to do what they are expected to do, which is teach.

To encourage learning we vary resources, set up provocations, ask questions, respond to learners interests and share our learning through discussion. #CheviotSlowChat

It suggests a safe environment, planned T & L, with pupils of differing abilities & strengths making progress. It allows teachers to be creative, & to support and challenge as appropriate.
