"We know what's happening and it's very bad indeed. And we know what needs to be done and have done for a long time."
We can do what we can to support and help, but in the end systemic inequalities have to be addressed at a UK government level.

It's a challenging time for most people but people in already disadvantaged and minority groups are more at risk and need more support #CHEXconference23
The cost of living crisis is intrinsically linked to health - poverty is the main driver of poor health in any population #CHEXconference23
Community organisations working at the 'sharp end', the 'deep end', and the 'front line' are the ones who tend to support people through immediate crises and address the urgent needs of the population. We've seen the power of this during the pandemic.
