Interessante como o JTWC vem aplicando ao tufão #ChoiWan desde que se formou. Clássico super tufão em desenvolvimento no Pacífico Noroeste, com direito a rápida intensificação que inclusive ocorre neste exato momento, mas as projeções do JTWC o subestimam a intensidade do tufão.

#Typhoon #Choiwan has proved it self to be a very resilient cyclone. Despite the environment (southerly vector aligned shear, large size of the TC) favoring EWRCs, secondary eyewall formation has not occurred due to repeated dry air intrusions, which end up shielding the core!

As expected, #Typhoon #Choiwan exploded in intensity after slowly picking up steam, now sitting at comfortable 145kt. The typhoon is, again, as expected, likely to undergo an EWRC soon based on microwave imagery. Gorgeous look on visible imagery!
