In the series of York archeaological conversations we spoke about how to followup from our #CIFA2019 session. With @RedfernNeil and @DrRobLennox , we maybe not that vocal but the thinking has not stopped!

For those of you who were in my cosy chat designing the 'ideal' achaeologist #CIfA2019
I talked about my dear, sadly no longer with us, friend Jan Bresser. Someone found a photo of this dear, wise, open artist and friendly giant.
So a thank you @DrRobLennox and @RedfernNeil

Huge thanks to the @MentoringWomen1 team who provided a safe space & support at #CIfA2019, & after. Even at a successful conference thereโs a need. Thanks to all the wonderful #women in the group who support without judgement. The world needs more of this #feminist #archaeology
Puffin and Mentoring team had a brilliant time @InstituteArch #CIfA2019. Massive thanks to @CIfA_Equality for letting us use their stall, & to @Bajr44Respect and @allinclusivearc for being so welcoming. Puffin is now pretty tired, so is chilling with their favourite mini-person.

Massive thanks to @CIfA_Equality who manned a great stall at #CIFA2019 which also acted as a safe space for many. Their hard work is appreciated and essential for #archaeology

Many thanks for this connection @artefactual_KW . #Ethics and #data in #archaeology practice. A lot to be done to follow up #CIfA2019
Positive feedback from students & @artsbrighton. I saw how artists understand, record, transmit place & time - more able to access and evoke people's experience in the past? We all gained. Collabs essential for justice to the past, in the present, for the future! #cifa2019 13/13

The erosion caught their imagination, the receding coastline, the diminishing number of coastguards cottages. A guided walk isn't radical but it worked, several pieces inspired by that trip #cifa2019 5/13

How does it work in practice? Sarah had some locations planned but we added Birling Gap, Seven Sisters. A fairly conventional guided walk on the foreshore to the wrecks of UB-121 and SS Oushla, a look at features in the cliffs, remains of buildings gone #cifa2019 4/13
