Circuit tile project is completed!We have an electronics section! Laser cut all tiles! A BIG SHOUTOUT to the Makerspace Club Ss who helped, Jonathan, Aaron, and Jack! They also learned to solder! Also TY Tanners Electronics store! #Makerspace #Electronics #MakerED #MakerPromise

From my recent visit to @RedeBdeAC - this gives me goosebumps! @paperoberta taught herself how to make circuit blocks for students with cheap materials & laser-cut scraps from a factory nearby. The jitterbug is one of the creations kids made😍 #CircuitBlocks #AprendizagemCriativa

Yesterday we hosted a few pre-service teachers from South Korea @MakerEdOrg who were interested in bringing low tech activities to their classrooms. We spent time tinkering w/ #circuitblocks & having conversations about sustainable ways to integrate #makered-so glad they visited!

Yesterday was Day 1 of our Approaches to Maker Education @MakerEdOrg! Our 1st approach was Tinkering to Discover - we used #circuitblocks as a way to let learners make discoveries & lead their own investigations around electricity. So much learning in an open ended way! #MakerEd

After exploring #circuitblocks, #MakerEdInstitute participants reflected on the design & facilitation aspects of thier experience & "Tinkering to Discover" as an approach to maker centered learning. It was great to discuss the difference between a teacher vs learner lens!

So grateful & impressed w/the amazing & talented group of volunteers from @Google who spent the day w/us @MakerEdOrg! They helped beautify our garden, organize ALL our materials, assemble needed equipment & even spent time fabricating #circuitblocks! Thank you, we appreciate you!
