@ChrisFromOrbit I think a lot of the time teachers have this technology in the classroom, but no instruction on how to use it so it never gets used and goes to waste. Smart boards are a perfect example. #cit602

@Jennife34920191 @unlvpg I think students always look for the easy way out which is plagiarism most of the time. I think sites like https://t.co/QEOLxcPnOr are a great way to keep students accountable. #cit602

Although it's unlikely anyone would go after a teacher for copyright violation, ethics should guide us. I believe fair use and educational purposes safeguard us, but copying large amounts of texts besides violating the law is also environmentally destructive. #cit602 @unlvpg

@amandad87019027 @SCollins24 #cit602 Yes, I agree. Most people nowadays learn how to type naturally on their own, even if their method is unorthodox. Putting your typing speed on a resume/CV is superfluous now. Computer class should focus on more important things.

BTW when my 8 year old say my coding assignment he said, "I love this stuff, can I do this assignment for you?" It probably would have been way better if I had let him. I "failed" many times to make it do what I wanted. #cit602

#cit602 @unlvpg W3T2, @iCivics. I highly recommend it for secondary social studies. It features many interactive web games (some for iPad) for your students that mostly cover US law and government, and come with lesson plans. Check out these screencaps for a peek.

@unlvpg I moved from a flip phone to a smartphone in 2016. I had an i Pad and before that a notebook computer.... But now i find myself attached to my smartphone and using it for most of my computer needs. #cit602

@RoyLeon06614892 I do love that ccsd has gotten us the quite a few of the Google tools. There is a lot you can do like using pear deck to create presentations students can interact with. I like that I can give feedback on students'work on Google while they are still working on it. #cit602
