a classic Doctor Who Axon creatures rampage through a power station. #DoctorWho #ClawsOfAxos. Another monster that impressed me at the age of 6 and kept me tuning in every Saturday.
Pizza, anyone? The #ShallowProclamation's @ThorogoodThomas & @paulfeesey are chomping down on slice 3 of 4. #DoctorWho #ClawsofAxos
Did the Brigadier Just Order Pizza? (S8E13) https://t.co/6xSFNPE5OY via @YouTube

So I'm assuming the next story is going to be dealing with the problems of the nuclear fallout from the reactor here? Especially as this plant also supplies most of countries power. Right? #DoctorWho #ClawsofAxos
I would watch a whole season of these two travelling the Universe together. I love how appalled the Master looks at the Doctors suggestion of attacking the High Council. He seems to be genuinely buying into his act #DoctorWho #ClawsofAxos
I'm not sure this idea that the Doctor has turned is ever as well realised as it is here. With the Third Doctor you can genuinely believe for a moment that he is willing to abandon the Earth in exchange for his own freedom. #DoctorWho #ClawsofAxos
They actually blow up a jeep! Now that was a good sequence of practical effects. This final episode is my highlight of the story #DoctorWho #ClawsofAxos
Is this the only time we see roundels outside of the TARDIS doors? It is an odd design choice and I can't remember ever seeing it before #DoctorWho #ClawsofAxos
I don't know if I missed something but the Brigadier promises the Master his freedom if he helps and then when he fulfils his side of the bargain he is arrested anyway. Doesn't seem like cricket to me #DoctorWho #ClawsofAxos
I'm surprised Bill Filer doesn't make more appearances in expanded media. I haven't read all of the @Candy_Jar books (although all of the ones I have are good) but I haven't come across him and there is nothing on the wiki. Definitely scope for a book here #DoctorWho #ClawsofAxos
The Brigadier in a lot of these scenes treats the Master in the same way he treats the Doctor. I remember loving Face of the Enemy but this has made me want to revisit it even more #DoctorWho #ClawsofAxos
Does anyone else do the maths in their head when watching this scene? They were really going all out with the effects #DoctorWho #ClawsofAxos
Now this is the series I want to see. The Master goes from prisoner to UNIT's scientific advisor in less than a minute. These scenes are by far the best part of this story and I just wish we got more of them. The Master is really the star of this story #DoctorWho #ClawsofAxos
"Oh, I suppose you can take the normal precautions against nuclear blast, like, er, sticky tape on the windows and that sort of thing." Was this still official government advice in 1971? This line has perfect delivery in Delgado's best performance yet #DoctorWho #ClawsofAxos
I think that the spaghettified version of Axos worked better for me now having seen Loki (they were clearly an inspiration) #DoctorWho #ClawsofAxos
The scene of Jo ageing to death is pretty horrific, but in my head the Doctors reaction is so extreme because he is remembering Sara Kingdom. It does make me realise though that the wonderful Katy Manning hasn't been given much to do in this story #DoctorWho #ClawsofAxos
It feels like an age since we were last in the TARDIS, it is nice to see it again #DoctorWho #ClawsofAxos
The Master walks into the middle of a nuclear power complex wearing a hat and what looks like a rubber mask of his own face. He doesn't even need to bother hypnotising Benton who just stares over his head. UNIT security at its best #DoctorWho #ClawsofAxos
Axos may ostensibly be the villains of the piece but it is the British government the audience are set up to root against #DoctorWho #ClawsofAxos
Nicholas Courtney is perfectly able to show the sense of triumph as he gets in touch with the UN and finds he is now able to reassert control of the situation. #DoctorWho #ClawsofAxos
