@wheelswon @clairecmc Many PEOPLE in MO certainly did care enough to collect signatures for #CleanMO until our feet bled. We worked hard enough to pass it by 63%. Blame the GOP, for using dirty tactics and confusing ballot wording, to trick voters into overturning... our own protection put in place.

@jeremycady Stop it. I have serious problems with the way you and others misrepresented #CleanMo and Amendment 3, but ultimately we have to respect the decisions voters made. That's how this works.

@queenofBLAH @wrap02 Voters overturned #CleanMo, which gave Republicans all the permission they need to undo a lot of what voters have done.

@ProjectLincoln @realDonaldTrump Shame on @AGEricSchmitt . I would love for @AGTishJames to take on Missouri corruption including shady worded undoing of #CleanMo which was voted for by 67% and leaves me disenfranchised in a gerrymandered district in a super majority state.

🤦🏾‍♂️ Amendment 3 is disingenuous so one shouldn’t be surprised that the marketing around it is as well. I was not a proponent of #CleanMO but Amendment 3 is trash. 🗑 #NoOn3

Bishop thinks Republicans would benefit from the lines drawn by #CleanMo and that there would be too much out-of-state money if districts were competitive. He said the same thing during our debate. Yeah, it doesn’t make any sense to me, either.

Craig Fishel in the 136th said he’s worried his district would extend all the way to Rolla. Horsepucky. #CleanMo still requires districts be contiguous and compact.

Alex Riley bought a house that was barely in the 130th. When he saw there were three other Republican candidates, he moved to the 134th. Him saying he’s worried that #CleanMo would mean candidates would represent areas where they’re not really from is a laugh.

Sarah Semple in the 132nd says the #CleanMo tried to do too much, which is unconstitutional. That’s already been decided in the courts. Move on.

Steve Helms in the 135th trying to have it both ways. He disagrees with #CleanMo, but is afraid he’ll get beaten up if he says so because he knows @Fogle4mo and the Dems put a big target on his back this November.

John Black from the 137th said #CleanMo tricked voters into thinking it was only about lobbyist money. Every article, every proponent I talked to in emphasized competitive districts. No, #DirtyMo doesn’t take us back to what it was. A 15-percent efficiency gap is insane.

@JLSGF @Wes4Commission First question is on #CleanMo. My short answer: Republicans should have gone out and made their case to voters in 2018. They didn’t because they knew they could use their supermajority to undo it without consequences. Not how this works, folks. No takesies backsies.

NEW POLL OUT FROM @missouriscout/Remington today! This is a big one so I'm gonna be writing a thread on it. Caveat, Remington is definitely an r leaning pollster, as such they have a C- rating on FiveThirtyEight. They still have useful information.

6/10 Seems like this would blowback on legislators, right? Wrong. The electorate is so polarized and entrenched for “their team” that they will directly enact their will on ballot measures, but candidates keep winning so nobody learns and the cycle is just rinse/repeat.
