This pie chart makes its easily visible

Increasingly, year on year, more of the #ClimateFinanceUG money is coming as debt instruments. Given our debt position and our climate risk position, a case could be made to shift to grants over debt.

That said, outside of government financing, the sources of #ClimateFinanceUG remain the usual suspects 👇🏽👇🏽

While the total number of projects being implemented is going up, the total amount of #ClimatefinanceUG is going down. See the two images for comparison

Uganda has so far spent more than $2.2bn in #ClimateFinanceUG going to more than 1500 projects [OECD figures]
Our climate finance inflows now average about $350mn (could be more of our parliament didn’t dagger our public finance position with their terrible laws)
I think the first part of any #ClimateFinanceUG conversation is to ask; why should you care?
More than half of tax revenue is from agric,Ug has one of the most unique climate features globally & stands to be greatly affected by climate change & your food, tea & life depend on it
I was invited to the dissemination of findings on #climatefinanceUG by @OxfaminUganda
It’s an interesting 100 page report on the inflows of climate finance and where it has been spent.
