Also, if you had any professionalism, you'd actually drop your bias and investigate the #ClubVsCommunity data. But that would require some aptitude & integrity, correct?
While 🥎 appears to be the exception, the need for competitive balance reform within the @MHSAA has never been greater! Sure, private teams work their butts off and have dedicated coaches, but they’re spoiling the tournament experience for 🏈🏐⚽️🏀

The MHSAA released its 2026-2027 🏀 district tournament assignments today, and, to no one's surprise, the negligence continued in terms of ignoring the #ClubVsCommunity data.
But for those with an imagination, here's what it might look like (on the private side) if we had separate tournaments in boys 🏀.
Think about it. It would take 4 wins over two weeks to take the D1 title, 5 wins to claim the D2 🏆, and either 5-6 wins to take D3. In the meantime, public schools could hold their own state tournaments in four divisions.

UPDATE: A couple of girls ⚽️ district scores were added late Friday, and the gap between private & public only increased. Either force the privates to play up a division or create a separate tournament for them. Regardless, what we're doing now isn't working!

Of all the sports where the MHSAA ignores the inherent advantage that private school teams possess over public school teams with similar enrollments, nothing stands out as much as the girls ⚽️ tournament every spring. What a travesty!

Let this sink in for a minute. The MHSAA Girls ⚽️ Tournament kicked off last night, with 15 matches pitting private school teams against public school teams.
In those matches, privates posted a 13-2 record and outscored their public opponents, 103-16. 😳

As the 2026 MHSAA Girls ⚽️ Tournament begins next week, here's some context worth paying attention to.
Private school teams make up less than 15% of the field, yet they've won 5 of 6 possible state 🏆 the last two years. They've also posted an 82%+ win rate against public schools during that span.
The numbers speak for themselves!

There's a difference between leadership and trolling.
Leadership looks like putting your name on your work, sharing data, and standing behind it. Trolling looks like fake accounts, impersonation attempts, and sarcasm with no substance.

But there's absolutely no way this private school team should be classified as D3.
Teams like Grass Lake (21-2), Columbia Central (20-4), Niles Brandywine (26-1) & Pewamo Westphalia (26-2) deserve better!

Here's an update from the MHSAA girls 🏀 tourney heading into this weekend's Final Four games. Regardless of how one views it, private schools continue to win at a disproportionate rate.

It's comical (and predictable) that when data like this is presented, the go-to move by critics (and trolls) is to take shots at someone's family, workplace & motives. 🤦 Consequently, it only confirms the inequities that continue to be exposed.
