What Episode 45 showed us isn't a completely separate, alternate Bankai, it is what happens when he activates that exact same Bankai while already in his Horn of Salvation (semi-Hollowfied) state. ​Tapping into his awakened Hollow blood pushes both his physical body and his Zanpakutō to transform simultaneously into this ultimate form: Blood Chains. The official production keywords already explicitly confirm this mechanic. ​There is no secret secondary Bankai coming, and they aren't retconning the original design. When Ichigo enters Bankai in base, you get the standard fused blade seen on the posters and credits. When he enters Bankai while drawing on his Hollow powers, you get Blood Chains. It's the same ultimate power expressed through different states. Stop overcomplicating settled canon.
