@educationweek I also put together a reflection worksheet on co-teaching after Q1 for Ts to use as a guide during co-planning time. I told them I did not want to see this but instead wanted them to reflect on how to continue to improve collaboratively #CoTeachSpecEdChat

@MsTroccoli I did the same last year! It was my first full year of teaching, also in Spec Ed. Learned A LOT. But also a lot of late nights. And a lot of questions. Grateful for the many educators who helped me and guided me. #CoTeachSpecEdChat

@educationweek A4: @Houppert_ncsd and I have less time together. Luckily we have an established partnership and are no longer first year teachers! We learned a lot last year and know our strengths now #CoTeachSpecEdChat

A4: I feel the biggest challenge for me this year has been making sure I keep Lauren @Eisinger_ncsd in the loop about everything that is going on with the students especially since she is only with us for half the day. #CoTeachSpecEdChat

A4, cont. I think all teaching is an art, so maybe coteaching successfully is a fine art. It’s a unique relationship of two professionals bringing their unique experiences to the table/classroom so students can get the most out of their school days. #CoTeachSpecEdChat

@educationweek It has been a huge challenge. We try and celebrate the successes and highlight co-teachers make strides. Hoping to do walk thrus and lab sites for other teachers to see #CoTeachSpecEdChat
