The #CodeWar between USA & BRICS -
“A new global monetary order is emerging, not from traditional institutions like central banks or the IMF, but from blockchain technology and tokenized money. At the core of this shift are stablecoins digital tokens like USDC, USDT, and WLF1 backed by the U.S. dollar and offering instantaneous global liquidity.
Unlike Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs), stablecoins are market-driven, modular, and bypass outdated systems like SWIFT and correspondent banking. The U.S., under Donald Trump, is leveraging this innovation to maintain dollar dominance, countering growing challenges from BRICS, China, and the Global South.
The digital dollar’s strategic advantage lies in its openness, unlike China’s tightly controlled digital yuan, which faces limited international uptake. Trump has openly called BRICS a threat to the dollar’s reserve status and warned of trade tariffs to counter de-dollarization.
Ironically, the U.S. accelerated this trend by weaponizing the dollar under the Biden administration seizing Russian assets and using sanctions to enforce its geopolitical will. This triggered a global rethink, with nations selling U.S. Treasuries and stockpiling gold instead.
America’s empire is built on a financial system that allows it to print unlimited dollars, fund endless wars, and maintain massive deficits with few consequences due to the dollar’s global status. But this “exorbitant privilege” has bred resentment.
As the U.S. economy grows hollow lacking a real industrial base Trump’s strategy is to delay dollar decline by reshoring industries and weaponizing trade deals. However, the sustainability of this model is in question.
Meanwhile, countries are creating alternatives. BRICS+ is developing a cross-border payment system that bypasses the dollar. India’s UPI is enabling digital trade flows in rupees, while Russia, ASEAN, and African nations are deepening local currency usage. The 2025 BRICS Summit in Rio formalized this multipolar approach, marking a major pivot away from dollar centrality.
Trump’s administration is aggressively promoting tokenized dollars to counter these efforts. Stablecoins are being positioned as tools of digital hegemony, with the U.S. pressuring allies to adopt them or risk exclusion from American capital and tech networks.
Yet nations like Japan and India are resisting. Leaders from both countries have asserted their sovereignty and strategic autonomy, pushing back against U.S. pressure in trade negotiations and digital infrastructure.
Domestically, America faces mounting fiscal stress, with over $35 trillion in debt and annual deficits exceeding $2 trillion. The Federal Reserve’s continued money printing has inflated asset bubbles and widened inequality, creating what many call a “Fugazi economy.” This financial illusion is propped up by foreign demand for Treasuries and an increasingly brittle global faith in U.S. solvency.
The result is a polarizing domestic landscape, capital flight by billionaires, growing authoritarian impulses, and an aggressive foreign policy aimed at preserving dollar supremacy through coercion and control. As global confidence wanes and nations seek monetary justice, America stands at the edge of imperial decline desperately trying to hyper-dollarize the digital world before the multipolar future overtakes it.”
