The remarks made by the Leader of the Opposition, Shri @RahulGandhi , and #Congress leader Shri @_SandeepDikshit regarding the Hon’ble @PMOIndia Shri @narendramodi , and India’s #ForeignPolicy, particularly the personalised reference to a #ForeignFemale head of state on a public platform, do not meet the standards of constitutional propriety and institutional dignity expected in a mature democracy. In a #ConstitutionalRepublic, the office of the PM #Modi and the conduct of the nation’s external relations carry a dignity that ought to stand above partisan difference. When disagreement shifts from policy to personalised comment and cross-border reference, it risks weakening the mutual respect that sustains institutional legitimacy and the conventions of responsible public discourse. By placing personalised remarks at the centre of its critique, the #IndianNationalCongress may diminish its own standing as a serious national party. A political force that prioritises personal comment over principled engagement can forfeit the credibility needed for meaningful opposition and move further from the expectations of citizens who value dignity, constitutional restraint, and patriotic responsibility in public life. It is a matter of regret that the @INCIndia party’s discourse has reached this point. India’s democracy is strengthened by robust yet civil contestation conducted with restraint and respect for high office.
