Filling the knowledge gaps about cold-water corals is only possible through a unified strategy that sets priorities and provides recommendations for research and conservation.
Accessing deep-sea areas poses significant challenges for any nation, particularly those lacking infrastructure, funding, and technical expertise.
How can we protect something we know so little about?
To address these and other challenges, CORDAP has released a roadmap identifying knowledge gaps and research priorities to support cold-water coral conservation and restoration over the next decade.
