#MedalMonday - Pte John Dudley’s General Service Medal 1793-1814, with Talavera clasp. Pte Dudley enlisted with the 24th of Foot in 1806 aged 14. He was discharged just four years later due to “a diseased spine in consequence of service.” #medal #collectioncloseup

These medals, including the Military Medal and bar, were awarded to Corporal Daniel Phillips of the 2nd Battalion, The Welsh Regiment. Corporal Phillips, who was born in Bridgend, died of wounds in France, in October 1918. #medalmonday #WW1 #collectioncloseup #LestWeForget
