The toxic pigment #LeadWhite was used extensively by #Boucher. Combined with oil, it yielded a paint that was easy to handle, quick to dry, and was mixed to make subtle hues. Sadly it may have been responsible for his reduced ability to see colour late in life. #ColoursofBoucher
