#sapsFS [THABONG SAPS LEADS COMMUNITY MASS MEETING] On Wednesday, 20/05, at about 17:00, #PartnershipPolicing members of Sector 2, together with #CommunityInBlue, conducted a community mass meeting at Sub-sector 6, Jerusalema Park.
The purpose of the meeting was to attend to community concerns about crime and to educate them on how to deal with crime situations. The following were also addressed:
• GBV #EndGBVF
• Domestic violence
• Mob justice #ReportCrime
• Theft of water meters and copper cables
• Dangers of drugs and alcohol abuse
Community members were also encouraged to join community structures aimed at curbing crime in their communities, especially the #CPF, as it is in line with the constitutional framework.
The community was afforded an opportunity to pose questions and receive feedback during the session. The engagement proved to be a fruitful exercise where all the questions and concerns were addressed to the community’s satisfaction, which is in line with the SAPS mandate, Section 205(3) of the South African Constitution.
About 50 community members were reached, and Thabong SAPS emergency contact numbers were shared with members of the community. The mass meeting was held and concluded successfully.

Today, SAPS Bethelsdorp, together with 17 members of the #CommunityInBlue Patrollers (Sector 3), conducted a joint #SaferSchools op at Soutpan Primary School, Arcadia High School, Fernwood Primary School and Westville High School.
Members conducted high-visibility patrols to prevent crime, curb the selling of illegal substances to learners, and to address #gang activity around school vicinities. A foot patrol was also carried out in Rensburg Street, Arcadia, to ensure the safe passage of learners.

Members of the community were sensitized about various crimes, most prevalent in the policing precinct:
* Theft
* Mob-justice

* Dangers of drug and alcohol abuse
Members participated in constructive engagement with members of the community in a bid to identify challenges and potential solutions to reduce and prevent crime.
Sergeant Hlapho emphasised the implications of mob-justice and that it amounts to lawlessness. She encouraged the community to work closely with law enforcement and to #ReportCrime, and allow justice to prevail.
Community members were afforded an opportunity to pose questions to members. Feedback was provided by Captain Khosana and Captain Setshego.

#sapsFS On Monday, 08/12, Partnership Policing members, in conjunction with #SAPS Thabong VEP, Thabong #WomensNetwork and #CommunityInBlue members, conducted a #16DaysOfActivism awareness campaign at Boitumelo Mall, Thabong.
The purpose of this awareness was to sensitize community members that we are on a journey of 16 Days of Activism Against GBV and that we should unite against it. Emphasis was placed on the importance of #ReportCrime and #ActAgainstAbuse.
Other crimes addressed with the community, among others, included:
1. Sexual offences
2. Dangers of drug and alcohol abuse
3. Assaults
4. Robberies

#sapsNW Bojanala 1 Community Police Forum under Chairperson Mr Sibasa held their #CommunityInBlue festive season action plan activity at Lebotloane sports ground on Wednesday, 03/12.
The event was supported by Provincial #CPF led by its Chairperson Mr Malungani. Maj Gen Modisagarekwe Mosimanegape, the District Commissioner on behalf of the #SAPS, was present at the yearly event, and during his address he thanked everyone for honouring the invite and further commended the CPF team for organising such a spectacular event.
Other notable figures who were present was the Mayor of Moretele and the Chief of Lebotloane and various Chiefs from the surrounding areas as well as church leaders.

#sapsFS [COMMUNITY IN BLUE ENHANCES COMMUNITY SAFETY IN THABONG] In a commendable demonstration of commitment to community safety, members of the #CPF, Senior 4, and Sector 2 Partnership joined forces in a #CommunityInBlue Patrol on Friday night, 12/09, starting at 22:00. The patrol focused on various areas in the policing precinct.
Partnership Commander, Lt Col Sebuse visited the team to offer words of encouragement and support. He praised the members for their selfless dedication to ensuring #SaferCommunities, recognizing the vital role they play as force multipliers in promoting peace and security at grassroots level.
The patrol route covered Phumlani Informal Settlement, Ditsheng, and Doornpan. During the operation approximately 20 individuals were searched, two hand luggage bags were inspected and one filling station was visited as part of routine checks.
No illegal items were discovered, and no arrests were made during the patrol, indicating a stable and cooperative community environment.

The patrol focused on various areas in the policing precinct.
Partnership Commander, Lt Col Sebuse visited the team to offer words of encouragement and support. He praised the members for their selfless dedication to ensuring #SaferCommunities, recognizing the vital role they play as force multipliers in promoting peace and security at grassroots level.
The patrol route covered Phumlani Informal Settlement, Ditsheng, and Doornpan. During the operation approximately 20 individuals were searched, two hand luggage bags were inspected and one filling station was visited as part of routine checks.
No illegal items were discovered, and no arrests were made during the patrol, indicating a stable and cooperative community environment.
