@ReconnectingOx @OxfordshireLab1 LTNs are very divisive. They create a sort of social apartheid where affluent neighbourhoods become no-go areas. These LTNs displace traffic, increase congestion, journey times, and thereby cause more pollution. They're also a terrible idea for social cohesion.

So agree. When Leighton Road had a #CarFreeDay the effect was magical. Within minutes kids playing football, neighbours chatting. Reduced traffic reduces #communityseverance. There’s an evidence base wot proves it!
