If there’s a common theme in #ContinuumCases this year, it’s that haphazard testing rarely leads to the right diagnosis
You stop and think: a subacute neurologic syndrome (Morvan!) with weight loss and smoking history suggests a possible paraneoplastic disorder…
I love all of @caseyalbin's #ContinuumCases equally. Like my children.
But also like my children, there are times that I love some of them more equally than others, and this may be one of those times.

A 21 yo woman presents with numbness in her hands and difficulty walking due to numbness in her left foot. She also reports numbness over the right thigh.
On exam, she has patchy sensory loss and give way weakness.
It feels like a #ContinuumCase of Tactile Anarchy!
Because you read Continuum and follow #ContinuumCases, your reputation as a neurologic detective has grown.
You get paged with a curbside:
MICU: “Hi, neurology, we have a diabetic patient with uncontrolled movements, we’re worried he’s in status and…”
You: “I’m on my way.”
