So my husband built a chicken tractor. There are pros and cons to this whole endeavor but still, it is working.

New life on the farm! We've received our first batch of Freedom Rangers! They're a hardier broiler, less issues than the Cornish crosses. Going to see how these work out long term.

Chick check! 27 adorable Fizzle-Orpington & Fizzle-Easter Egger chick's! We're also looking into being able to breed our own meat birds in the future so we aren't dependent on hatcheries.

We also quarter the chickens (Cornish Cross) for some of our customers as well. That's what we are working on here.
Did you know ... we keep almost zero while birds for ourselves. Whole birds are freezer hogs!
What do we do?

Three week old #broilers doing good! Cannot recommend #fermenting your feed more! Saves on feed costs and the fermentation process makes the feed extra good for their gut & overall health.
