An 84-year-old man named William Nowak from Palm Bay, Florida, has been charged with attempted mrder after allegedly shoting his adult son in the face during a domestic dispute at his home on December 9, 2025. The argument reportedly began when Nowak became upset that his son and daughter-in-law hadn’t visited him and his 85-year-old wife, who is in hospice care, as often as he wanted—even though they visited weekly. According to plice, Nowak warned his son to leave, then went to retrieve a hndgun and, despite pleas to stop, fred a sht that fractured and lodged in his son’s face and jaw. After the shoting, the vctim was hospitalized and sedated due to his injries, and Nowak himself was briefly hospitalized for high blood pressure before being booked into the Brevard County Jil without bond; his next court appearance is scheduled for January 8.
