Oh, please. #Transference is 💯 % real. So is #countertransference. Speaking from client/patient’s point of view who has both benefited and suffered from it, depending on the therapists’ or psychiatrists’ skills.

#Betterhelp evidently warns patients about the signs of #countertransference and instructs them what to say should it come up. What they are instructed to do is to terminate. When I saw this at first, I just thought it was beyond stupid. Upon further reflection, it’s worse. It’s essentially ensuring the provision of ineffective to harmful therapy.
