The International Solar Alliance (ISA) and the Government of Rwanda have signed a #CountryPartnershipFramework (CPF) to accelerate Rwanda’s solar-led development agenda.
Signed by Mr @Ashish_Khanna , Director General, ISA, and @Dr_JimmyGasore, Hon'ble Minister of Infrastructure, @RwandaInfra, the partnership will drive solar deployment across high-impact areas: solarisation of agriculture and irrigation, capacity building, innovative solutions such as Agri-PV, and expanded energy access.

A productive discussion with the Ethiopian delegation on the sidelines of the ISA High-Level Mission in Uganda focused on accelerating solar irrigation under the #CountryPartnershipFramework.
The exchange centred on fast-tracking the 300 solar pumps pilot through joint site verification, while laying the foundation for a scaled national programme targeting thousands of pumps in the coming years.
Key priorities included developing a coordinated 5-year strategy across ministries and regions, addressing farmer affordability through innovative financing and blended models, and aligning support from development partners.
Discussions also explored strengthening capacity through STAR-C and integrating digital and AI solutions.

We met with the delegation led by Rolande Pryce (@RSCPryce ), the Regional Director of the #WorldBank (WB) for the South Caucasus.
During the meeting, we exchanged views on important directions of the WB's new #CountryPartnershipFramework for Azerbaijan, which will cover the years 2025-2029, the current status of ongoing #investmentprojects, as well as the matters related to the possible support of the WB within the #COP29.
Additionally, we discussed the prospects of further expansion of the existing relations between two institutions and the WB's support opportunities toward the development of the #greentaxonomy.
