This escalation comes on the 700th consecutive day of Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza. At least 162,000 have been injured, many with amputations, paralysis, or permanent disabilities. Entire families — 2,700 of them — have been wiped from the civil registry. The Government Media Office reports that 90% of Gaza’s infrastructure has been destroyed, with initial damages exceeding $68 billion. Israel has deliberately targeted hospitals, schools, mosques, and civilian shelters, imposing starvation through a near-total blockade and preventing hundreds of thousands of aid trucks from entering.
