Our students of #crafttechnology (1st & 3rd Sem) and B.Des (1st Sem), at UPIDR, experienced a two-day immersive Batik Workshop, from 10–11 Sept 2025, under the mentorship of National Awardees & Shilp Gurus — Mrs. Madhuri Mishra & Mr. Vinod Mishra.
The workshop, graced by the esteemed presence of our Hon’ble Chairman Ma’am, was an inspiring journey into the world of heritage crafts, blending tradition with creativity.
The students not only learned the intricate techniques of Batik but also discovered the cultural stories behind this timeless art form.
It was indeed a celebration of craft, learning, and inspiration — nurturing the next generation of designers to keep our rich traditions alive!

Exploring Global Craft Traditions: Origami.
As part of #crafttechnology in the 4th semester, our students explored the intricate Japanese art of paper folding—Origami. From simple folds to complex #designs, they delved into the precision, patience, and #creativity that define this centuries-old craft.
Origami isn’t just about aesthetics; it embodies balance, mindfulness, and the beauty of transformation—one fold at a time.
