As Armed Forces Champion for @hackneycouncil, I am proud to say that we are one of the 20% of local authorities that do not classify war disablement pension as income #credittheirservice
Army veteran Graham has received a War Disablement Pension since 2008.
But in March 2022 he was shocked when his local authority informed him they classified this pension as an income, and he would have to pay full council tax at nearly £1,500 per year. 1/2
