पुन्हा एकदा वेळ आली आहे सायकलच्या पेडलला माणुसकीची जोड देण्याची. येत्या ४ फेब्रुवारीपासून 'CanKids #CycleForGold' (Edition V) ही राष्ट्रीय मोहीम सुरू होत आहे.
हे केवळ सायकलिंग कॅम्पेन नाही, तर कॅन्सरशी लढणाऱ्या चिमुकल्या जीवांना दिलेला 'संजीवनी'चा हात आहे.
ही लढाई एका मोठ्या कारणासाठी...
कॅन्सर हा आजार मोठ्यांनाही थरकाप उडवतो, तिथे या निरागस मुलांची काय अवस्था होत असेल? ज्या हातांनी खेळणी पकडायला हवीत, त्या हातांना आज सलाईनच्या सुया टोचल्या जात आहेत.

AIIMS New Delhi organized #CycleForGold On World Cancer Day
Director of AIIMS Delhi, Dr. M Srinivas, flagged off the third edition for Access2Care for the children with cancer and their families in India.
Organized by long-term partner NGO at AIIMS, CanKids KidsCan, National Society for Change for Childhood Cancer in India, the Global CycleforGold Challenge, is to collectively cycle 200,000 kms. The aim is to raise awareness, to address the challenges in accessing care, and to find much needed support from civil society for children with cancer for treatment and care.
Dr M Srinivas, met with cyclists – cancer survivors, parents of child cancer patients, cycling enthusiasts and volunteers, he pledged support to the cause and said “We are committed to working with all stakeholders including NGOs like Cankids Kidscan to ensure 100% access2care for children with cancer. During my training in pediatric surgery at AIIMS, New Delhi my thesis was on Wilms Tumor survivors. Once the children reach the hospital we are committed to improving survival and other outcomes. Not only through best treatment and support but also through research and building capacities
