New construction alert🚧Chosen as a #DERPriorityProject in 2021, the South Meadow Wetland Reserve Easement Restoration in Carver will begin construction this month. The project will restore 34 acres of retired commercial cranberry farmland into healthy wetlands & stream.
Windswept Bog construction has wrapped up! This month, construction was completed on the Windswept Bog Restoration on Nantucket. While it may look muddy now, this process restored 40 acres of former cranberry bogs into flourishing, connected wetlands. 🚧➡️🌾 #DERPriorityProject

While some cranberry bogs are getting ready for harvest this month, these bogs at South Meadow are retired & in the process of being restored into healthy wetlands! 🌱With design & permitting done, construction will begin soon on this #DERPriorityProject in Carver. Stay tuned!

How it started vs. how it’s going! The Traphole Brook #DamRemoval Project removed a small masonry dam in Norwood in 2022. The brook is a Coldwater Fishery Resource & increased storm resiliency of a vital town road at the head of the impoundment. #DERPriorityProject
